CPYHA Annual Board Meeting

04/02/2010, 9:19am (CDT)
By J Brenny

A message from our president

Dear CPYHA Members once again,

It's the first of April and I want to remind all members again that our annual board meeting is coming up this month.  I saw a number of you at parent relief night and it was a pleasure seeing and meeting a lot of new people as well.  This is just a reminder that these meetings are open to the public and we as board members would like to encourage you to attend!

The meeting is on Tuesday April 20th at 7:00 PM at the Ice Forum.

Very important changes take place and a lot of new direction happens at this meeting.  We vote on changes or additions to our by-laws.  You as member have a vote in the decisions as to how we operate.  We vote for new members at large, committee directors and Board Executives.

This April we will be filling and voting on new positions at the following levels and terms:

President - 1 Year Term
Vice-President - 2 Year Term
Treasurer - 2 Year Term

Member at Large (3 open slots) - 2 year term/per

Directors:
Tournament
House Registration
SKATE
Sponsorship
Girls Committee

Please plan on attending this upcoming meeting to better understand what goes into making a successful hockey organization.

This will be my last meeting as President as my Son will move on to High School.  It is time to for a younger family who will be around hockey for many years to come, take on leadership positions and add to what we have begun.  Being a member of CPYHA, involved in it's committees and as your President has been a most enjoyable and rewarding experience.  Please continue to work hard on skills development, be involved in our training programs in the fall.  As a feeder program to the High School, continue to stive to play high school hockey & support our High School coach and his philosophies.

With the Northern Edge and Pat Janostin's involvement in CPYHA, and the possibility of a new dryland facility, we should have the makings of a great hockey community with a very strong development program for the future.  Please stay involved, support our teams and reach out to new youngsters who may not be exposed to hockey.

Thank You!

Gordy Littler
CPYHA President
