I am very excited to be back with the Champlin Park Boys Hockey team. It is an honor and privilege that I am very grateful for. As coach, I would like to stress how important it is for everyone to work together. This is Champlin’s team - not mine or the coaching staffs, or the players. We will be working hard with and for the community, both on and off the ice. We will always have an open door policy to all young athletes who wish to come to the locker room and meet the players. The youth in our community are clearly very important to usand the future of the program. As for the team this year, our goal is to start the tradition of having a puck possession team that relies on its speed to create scoring opportunities. We’ve been practicing this way from day one, and will focus primarily on skill development. Great teams come from a group of skilled individuals who are willing to work together. I will expect the players to get up and down the ice in a hurry. This makes for an entertaining team that everyone in the community can be proud of. All of our coaches are committed to developing the young men in our program. We will work hard to make them better people and improve their skills and knowledge of the game. I am asking all of our fans to support the players and coaches. We will work hard to represent Champlin Park Hockey as best as we can. We arelooking forward to an excellent year. Thank you in advance for all of your support.
