Thanksgiving Tournament
Congratulations to the Champlin Park Bantam B1 Rebels for winning the Consolation title at the 2011 Super Rink Spectacular Thanksgiving Tournament hosted by Mounds View and Irondale Youth Hockey Associations. It was a good mix of teams with close, competitive games. Due to the post-effects of Thanksgiving turkey, Champlin lost their first game to Rosemount by a score of 4-1. But they came back on Saturday to beat Mounds View 3-2. The game winning goal was scored with 34 seconds remaining in the game. The Rebels beat Irondale in the final game by a score of 5-2 to win the Consolation title. Congratulations to the players, coaches and parents for a great tournament.
