Teddy Bear Toss

By CPYHA News, 12/04/16, 9:15AM CST

Thursday, December 15th

On Thursday, December 15th the Champlin Park Rebels boys hockey teams and CPYHA Bantam A's have organized a "Teddy Bear Toss" during the 1st intermissions of the varsity hockey game between Champlin Park & Osseo at the Champlin Ice Forum.

Bring a teddy bear (or any stuffed animal) in a clear plastic bag to the varsity game. The bag is a really important part of this as we are collecting the bears for children and their families in local hospitals. For each bear you bring, your name will be entered into a drawing for prizes generously donated by businesses around Champlin & Osseo. During the 1st intermission of the varsity game, all fans will throw their bear onto the ice. The weekend following the game, players from both the Champlin Park Rebels & Osseo Orioles hockey teams will delivery the gifts.

Curious as to what this could look like? Here's a video of the 2015 Calgary Hitmen game where 25,000+ bears were thrown onto the ice. Note: We are not doing it after a goal but instead between periods.
